Eastern York senior boys’ basketball standout Dalton Reichard will play college basketball at Division II Lock Haven, his father and coach Jon Reichard confirmed last week.

Dalton, a three-year varsity player for the Golden Knights, led Eastern York to a share of the YAIAA Division III title this past season with York Suburban. The performance, which included 16.9 points, 46 3-pointers and an 83-percent free-throw-shooting clip, helped him win league player-of-the-year honors for Divisions III and IV.

But Reichard isn’t the only YAIAA standout to make a recent college choice.

• Dallastown’s Brent Batory, the boys’ soccer player of the year in Division I, is headed to Elizabethtown. His college choice comes after a senior season with 15 goals and 10 assists. He helped the Wildcats to a YAIAA Division I record in a season they played without junior standout and University of Akron commit Bryce Cregan.

• William Penn senior Jasmine Berry will play volleyball at Penn State York. Berry, also a track and field standout in the long and triple jumps, plus relays, said she also considered Howard and has hopes of transferring there. Berry was a YAIAA all-star selection in girls’ volleyball last fall.
